This article describes the strategy developed by the Institut national d’excellence en santé et services sociaux (INESSS) to integrate environmental considerations into its core activities. It articulates the means to meet three objectives: 1) knowing when to integrate environmental considerations into HTA knowledge products; 2) knowing which environmental considerations to integrate; and 3) knowing how to integrate these considerations into a growing number of knowledge products and improve over time. The tools and implementation process we describe may inspire other HTA agencies.
